WHERE WE STARTED AND WHERE WE'RE GOING
FarmBaby, founded in 2023, began with the ambitious task of transforming raw land in Lucas County into a thriving farm. From major basic infrastructure projects, to cover cropping and improving soil health, we're determined to bring vigor, biodiversity, and bounty back to the land, year after year.
WHAT WE'RE GROWING THIS YEAR
This year our growth is accelerating with an expanded crop selection, including strawberries and raspberries, and a stronger presence in local markets and restaurants. While our field crops are seasonal, we ensure a steady harvest of microgreens 365 days a year. Though not USDA-certified organic, we strictly follow NOP standards, maintaining transparency and integrity in all our practices.
MEET MARIAH
AND LEO 🥕
Owner and grower Mariah brings over a decade of hands-on farming experience, backed by a Horticulture degree from Iowa State, having worked with diverse growing operations across the U.S. Her passion for high-quality, locally grown produce drives FarmBaby’s mission to serve the community using honest farming practices.
Shadows come in all forms on the farm. Mariah's happens to have four legs. You can spot Leo anywhere Mariah goes. He's served as a longtime protector and now a vegetable guardian dog - earning him the right to be immortalized as FarmBaby's cutest mascot.
